FOR artists, writers, graphics, textiles, designers, film-makers, musicians
WHERE on the Bloor subway line (at Christie) in the vitalized Koreatown in the heart of Toronto.
SEPTEMBER IS OUR RENT-FREE ‘CHECK-IT-OUT’ month.
We understand that everyone is feeling a bit cautious at these times. So we are offering this special.
Move in now (after your COVID oath) and if you love it, rent from October onwards.
ATMOSPHERE Open, white, calm, COVID-careful, spacious studio with separate areas created by shelving and fabric. We are low noise (use headphones) and toxic- free (no oils). Created by an artist for artists.
SPACES For 10-15 people; from small to large spaces - $275 to $800. (No private rooms, but we've created privacy to a certain extent with shelving, etc.) If you want a larger space but small budget, we suggest finding someone with opposite hours and sharing with them. If you want to rent by day or week, ask.
LEASES normally one year but possibly month to month right now in these times. TBD
COVID CARE all artists must follow the standard protocol for mutual protection and is a big part of us making this a safe space to work.
LAUNDRY LANE is the vision of Jane Siberry (musician and artist)
and the newest addition to FLICK the SWITCH artist collectives founded by Jane's sister and artist, Susan N. Stewart.
FLICK the SWITCH has two other wonderful artist collectives.
