If you were a touring musician

IF YOU WERE A TOURING MUSICIAN this is what you might encounter: about a month before, your system will start amping up. your normal amount of coffee will make you jittery. need less. you will start filing things against the wall, lyrics, tuner, nail clippers, lightweight underwear, one pen, one journal, one of many things and as light as possible, you'll subconsciously be mapping out songs, what's in your heart to play, what might be in people's hearts to hear, your passport, vitamins in ziplocks, waiting for the right clothes to come to mind, there will be no time to re-organize, to fix, to nap, to get on top of. once you start it is full force. where is your dog, he'll be safe and well-loved, i promised him even if he's not with me. handwritten lyrics of a new song printed on lightest paper, can they print on vellum? find out. you're going out into the world, that most important beautiful world, to feel to see to hear to learn to serve. you will be safe, surrounded by the god in everyone. grateful grateful grateful.
